These schnitzels at the Waldhaus are truly special! Unfortunately, no photos, but we'll be going back for dinner soon, then more to follow... Great atmosphere, nicely decorated. The owner, Lili, is really nice. We're already looking forward to it... until next time! ... as promised, we came back and took photos 🙂 & again, it was very good 👍

Recently reopened with new tenants, and we're thrilled. The food is all fresh and delicious. The service was excellent; everyone was very friendly and attentive. We'd love to come back.

...the hour's drive was definitely worth it. Everything tasted good, fresh, and delicious. The dishes were beautifully presented and served piping hot. There was a good selection of vegetarian options. The restaurant is very well-maintained and located in a lovely rural setting. After a sumptuous meal, a walk in the woods right outside the restaurant is a great option. ...we'll be back!

It was my boss's birthday party. The food was plentiful and absolutely delicious. The medium-rare roast beef was simply divine, amazing, there's no other way to describe it. I can wholeheartedly recommend the venue; we'll definitely be back. It was 100% worth the visit.

What's going on in Stein? Visited relatives in the outback this weekend. The Waldhaus has reopened where countless dogs are usually buried. And when I heard where the new tenants have been cooking since then, it was clear. This had to be tested. Since we were there shortly after it opened, we were the first and were able to observe how they "work" there. The friendly waiter, presumably the son, had a perfect answer to all our questions. As an old "Balkan fan," we immediately ordered cevapcici. In my opinion, this is the quickest way to see what the chef is capable of. And what can I say, it was awesome. Do you know the Pita in Heilbronn? Actually, the benchmark for Balkan things. Today, the measuring stick for me is in Stein. Otherwise, it's immaculately tidy and very clean. The ceramics are also top-notch, and it smells remarkably fresh. All in all, a highly recommended package in the former Steiner sports center.

Super delicious food, great service. They've just recently reopened under new management. We'll be regulars. It's next to the forest, very quiet.

We've visited Germany from the States and I'm so glad we've stopped by at this restaurant.The atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming,and they even had a lil play area where my toddler twins could occupy themselves until food was served.My husband is very picky when it comes to meat and I'm a picky vegetarian but the server was very knowledgeable and friendly,the food was served quick and hot and it was absolutely delicious and even the twins(pickiest lil people ever) finished their plates! We will definitely come again! Thanks for a great german culinary experience!
